How do I look after my 'Ollie & Blue' products? To help your earrings please store them in a clean, dry place. Use of any oils, creams, perfumes and other substances may affect longevity. Also be aware when applying any make up too as this could stain the clay, especially lighter coloured clay. Do not wear in water, they have been tested in water but I do not advise. Please treat these earrings as you would any other piece of jewellery!
-
When will I get my order? After you place your order, 'Ollie and Blue' will take 1-3 business days to prepare it for dispatch. The estimated delivery date is based on your purchase date, the recipient's location, the seller's processing time and location, and the delivery company. Other factors — like placing an order on a weekend or a bank holiday — may end up pushing the arrival of your item beyond the estimated delivery date. It's our hope that your item gets where it's going as soon as possible, but given the factors involved, this is only an estimate.
-
Can I order customised items?Personalised orders can be made eg colours.. sizes or shapes and any ideas are more than welcome. Please allow 2 weeks notice for this though
-
Is wholesale items available?Whole sale is available on certain styles. Please send me a message to arrange styles and desired colours.
-
Can my items be gift wrapped? All items are wrapped in purple tissue paper, recycled crinkle paper and a special treat (tea bag or biscuit) in a brown box.
-
What materials do you use?Polymer clay, it’s an oven baked modelling material composed of polymers, resin, colouring agents and fillers. It’s not a natural clay and it’s made from a plastic, polyvinyl chloride (pvc) base I also use resin, mostly polyester with is a substance that hardens with a UV light. Stainless steel is used for the backings (unless silver and gold are requested). I source these stainless steel, hypoallergenic backings/studs/hooks/hoops from various suppliers. This keeps the cost of the earrings down. Jesmonite is used to make the home accessories, it’s in two parts. One part powder and the other liquid, and as a water based material it is more eco friendly.
-
Can I wear the earrings in water? While polymer clay can be waterproof, it is not recommended to wear in water such as swimming or showering.
-
Where can I store them?Through trial and testing, it is best to keep the accessories out of direct sunlight. The sun can cause natural bleaching of the colour in the clay, and if coated in the UV resin for shine then it can be turned a yellow tone in the sunlight. They are best stored in a cool dry place out of the sun.
-
Are they heavy? No, unless stated, these earrings are very lightweight and comfortable in the ears.
-
Are they suitable for just pierced ears?I recommend that you follow the guidance given from whoever has pierced your ears and wait the appropriate time before changing the earrings. Unless any known allergies then you suit be fine. All earrings that I have bought have all been stainless steel and hypoallergenic to the nest of my knowledge from buying from my suppliers.
-
Can I get a refund if I don’t like them?If you are not completely satisfied with the products, then once they have been returned to me undamaged a refund will be issued. If the accessories have been damaged during transit, Providing photo evidence, then a refund will be given. If you have had them a while and worn them then due to the nature of the product, no refund will be given.
-
How quickly will my order arrive?I post the products via the Royal Mail 2nd class post. They recommend 2-3 working days for delivery.
-
Do you make custom earrings?Yes, however there is a 3-4 weeks waiting for custom made orders. This is the time to make and posted off. So if you are looking for something for a special occasion please email me at info@ollieandblue.co.uk to find out how to order.
